Description
This is a description.
The model of group therapy utilized at the Institute of Anthropos in Athens, Greece will be presented in this short course. Additional techniques from other perspectives have been added to the approach.
The presentation will show how the group therapeutic process can be used to create a script for the group. The goal is to use what was developed during the group session as a synthesis. A higher level of abstraction can be shared by the group as a whole. There is an emotional shift in each member. In a context of support and connection, the ultimate purpose is to promote group and individual therapeutic goals.
The educational objectives are listed.
- Explain how use of the group session content and process can create an Ericksonian hypnotic induction that promotes changes in group members.
- Cite important principles of the Systemic Dialectic, Multilevel Multifocal Group Therapy approach.
Session may be edited to preserve confidentiality.
