Bill Pierce is a man. The Health Sciences Department was chaired for three decades. The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Business Week, Men’s Journal, Runner’s World and many other newspapers and magazines have featured him and FIRST. Runner’s World magazine listed Pierce as one of 10 marathon supercoaches, and he has made hundreds of presentations on fitness, health and running.
He was a successful half-miler on the track team while he was an intercollegiate athlete. He finished the Boston Marathon in five different decades and has won many age-group awards.

Dr. Murr has been the Director of the fitness center and aquatics for 15 years and is also the director of the human performance laboratory. Scott has been competing in triathlons for 35 years and has been running marathon after marathon. Scott has competed in over 300 endurance events.
Scott has finished in the top six at the World Championship in Kona Hawaii six times.
