As a full-time member, I work in San Antonio. The doctor is Dr. David Garza. The Medical Director forUIW Health Services is also the Clerkship Director for the Family Medicine and Rural/ Under-served Medicine Rotations. After 25 years of solo practice in his hometown of Laredo, Dr. Garza became the founding program director of the family medicine residency at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He received his D.O. from UNTHSC-TCOM and a Master of Medical Education Leadership from UNECOM. Dr. Garza was a member of the Texas Medical Board. He is a past president of TOMA, TMF Health Quality Institute, and the TCOM Alumni Association.

Mr. McDonald is a founding partner of the law firm of McDonald, Mackay & Weitz, L.L.P. Jeff has worked as an attorney in both the public and private sectors. He was the Director of Hearings and Compliance for the Texas Medical Board, as well as the Assistant City Attorney for the City of Austin. He is Board certified in Administrative Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and his current practice focuses on physician licensure defense, medical license defense, general administrative law, and professional licensing for health care providers, as well as other services. The TOMA’s Impaired Physician Committee has a Field Representative named Mr. McDonald. He works with health care professionals who are struggling with mental health issues.
