Dr. Jessica is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician. She is a native of Cedar Hill, Texas. She knew from a young age that she wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps. She graduated from the University of North Texas Health Science Center- Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth and completed her Family Medicine Residency Training at Care Point Health-Christ Hospital in Jersey City, New Jersey. She received a Maternal Child Health fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center. She was certified to perform Microneedling, the O-Shot, Vampire Facial, and the Green Peel. She specializes in newborn care and sees patients of all ages. Dr.Edwards strives to improve the experience of patients when they go to the doctor. She moved back to Texas to address healthcare inequalities, improve access to healthcare and improve the maternal mortality rate. She was selected for the Prestigious Top healthcare leaders under 40 by the National Medical Association post graduate section. She is the National President of the Committee of Interns and Residents, America’s largest union of Resident Physicians. She was elected vice-chair of the department in January 2020. She likes to spend time with her husband and son.
