Learning Objectives

• Discuss and define diagnostic criteria for tension headaches.
• Explain the risk factors of tension headaches.
• Discuss the physical findings of tension headaches.
• Discuss the treatment goals of the various types of techniques and the osteopathic treatment approach to the management of tension headaches.
• There are measures to prevent the occurrence of tension headaches.

There are accreditation statements. The Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians and designates this program for a maximum of 1.25 AOA Category 1-A credits.

There is a planning disclosure. The National Center for Osteopathic Principles in Education Planning Committee does not have financial relationships with any organization that produces, markets, resells, or distributes health care goods or services.

There is a Grievance Policy. The nature of the grievances should be specified in writing. All grievances should be directed to the Executive Director, who will forward them to the Education & Convention Committee. Within 30 days of receipt, all grievances will be responded to. If the participant does not receive a satisfactory response, they can submit a complaint in writing to the Council on Continuing Medical Education of the AOA.
