Learning Objectives Discuss the role of the primary care physician. Be familiar with the criteria. There is a difference between the symptoms of mood and personality disorders. Review treatment strategies in the primary care setting. Understand thecontraindications and monitoring of common medications used to treat the disease.

MAOPS designates this program for a maximum of .5 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report the credits for the extent of the physician’s participation.

The associate residency training director for General Psychiatry at the University of Missouri is Dr. Brandt. Dr. Brandt attended the ATSU-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in General Psychiatry at the University of Missouri School of Medicine. She is a member of the University of Missouri At-Risk Students Committee, the Psychiatry Residency Training and Curriculum Committees, the Grand Rounds Committee, and the Eating Disorder Treatment Team Committee. The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology certified Dr. Brandt.
