The certified and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist is specializing in the treatment of patients with swallowing disorders. Patients at the Level One Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center can be evaluated and treated with the help of a team of therapists. Her work includes interpreting modified barium swallow studies. She has created and implemented an armband system to assist with identifying diet levels for residents and patients while protecting their medical privacy, as well as developed and initiated new therapeutic dining programs.

She received the Students Pursuing Academic and Research Careers (SPARC) Award for completing her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Tennessee. She is responsible for teaching and supervising speech pathology Master’s students. She gives speech pathology education to medical students and residents. She provides training sessions for nursing staff with a focus on stroke and dysphagia.
