Nancy Joyner works at Altru Health System in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Nancy has experience caring for patients with end stage disease, as well as working with Hospice patients and their families at home and in the acute care setting. Her care for this group of patients includes intensive care, surgical critical care, and cancer patients. Nancy has had training in the Center to Advance Palliative Care. She holds a certification as an Advanced Practice Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse.

Nancy has presented and published at local, state and national levels. Pain, hydration and nutrition in terminal care have been researched and published by her. She is an active member of the work group for the Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement. She knows how hard it is to care for patients with end stage disease and their families.
