Learning Objectives The learner will at the end of this presentation. There are factors affecting the upper airway of a child. Discuss current methods of diagnosis of sleep disorders in children. In childhood, be able to describe various approaches to the management of OSA.

The Director of the Sleep Medicine Center of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is Dr. Sheldon. He is very active in the field of sleep medicine and is involved in a lot of research.
He is a graduate of the Midwestern University’s Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. The medical center is in Chicago. He completed a faculty fellowship in Sleep Disorders Medicine at the University of Chicago, as well as a visiting faculty fellowship in Medical Education at Southern Illinois University Medical School. He is certified in Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Sleep Medicine.
A consultant to the National Institutes of Health and the United States Public Health Service, Dr. Sheldon has served the profession in many capacities. He has served on many boards.
The author of Differential Diagnosis in Sleep Medicine is Dr. Sheldon. The textbook Allergy and Sleep: Basic Principles and Clinical Practice was co-edited by Dr. Anna Fishbein.
Dr. Sheldon received research support from Jazz Pharmaceuticals. He was paid a consultant fee by Idorsia Pharmaceuticals. He was a subject author for Up-to-Date.
