She has over 29 years of experience in the field of nutrition, including clinical nutrition, community nutrition, diabetes research and most recently as a diabetes educator for Novo Nordisk. Teresa has specialized in the field of diabetes for the last 16 years and has helped individuals with diabetes gain the skills they need to better manage their diabetes so they can live the life they want to live. Teresa received an award from the American Association of Diabetes Educators of Oregon. Diabetes educator of the year And. The distinguished service award was given in 2015. . Teresa was an All-American volleyball player in college and still plays competitive beach volleyball. Teresa believes in the power of communities and the outdoors to help people find their way to a happier life.
