Frank Schmalleger is a doctor. He is a professor at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Dr. Schmalleger has degrees from the University of Notre Dame and The Ohio State University, with a special emphasis in criminology, as well as a master?s and a doctorate in sociology from The Ohio State University. He taught criminal justice courses at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke from 1976 to 1994. The Department of Sociology, Social Work, and Criminal Justice was chaired by him for the last 16 years. Schmalleger helped develop the graduate program in security administration and loss prevention at the university. He taught courses for a long time. The New School for Social Research’s online graduate program helped build the world’s first electronic classrooms in support of distance learning through computer telecommunications. The creator of award-winning websites, Schmalleger is an avid Web user and site builder.
